In order to enrich students’ school life, Yorkland organized a spring field trip to Kingston, which was on May 24th, 2019. Firstly, the students visited Queen’s University which is one of Canada’s leading universities, with an international reputation for scholarship, research, social purpose, spirit and diversity. They walked in the Queen’s campus to feel the charm of the long-established university. Besides, the students had chances to look around Royal Military College of Canada, Bellevue House and Kingston City Hall. Most importantly, the students took a cruise to visit the 1000 Islands that are a group of more than 1,800 islands in the St. Lawrence River, straddling the border of the U.S. and Canada. The 1000 Islands is a region of endless shorelines, rich history and unique culture, which provided a chance for our students to know more about Canada. In a word, the students had a fulfilling and meaningful day.
