Quality Secondary Education
The Secondary School Program is based on a credit system. A credit is granted in recognition of the successful completion of a course which has been developed from an Ontario Ministry of Education guideline, and for which a minimum of 110 hours of instructional time has been scheduled. In order to graduate, students must successfully complete at least 30 credits.
* 18 credits are compulsory credits that every student must take.
* The remaining 12 credits are optional credits, which selected from the list of courses available in the school. Optional credits allow students to build an educational program that suits their individual interests and meets university, college, apprenticeship, or work requirements.

No public exam for entrance into university.
Students can apply to university with their Ontario secondary school diploma (OSSD). Students at Columbia International College can apply directly to university based on their final marks in six pre-university courses.
