We as teachers are working tirelessly to provide a nurturing, safe and positive learning environment for our students where they feel comfortable and confident enough to approach us with any questions, concerns or challenges. A great educator, Rita Pierson once said, “Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them; who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be”. True to these words of wisdom, we say to our students in Latin “Ad Astra”, in which we proclaim they are the future stars.
